We have been to stay at Little Pengelly farmhouse a few times now, Maxine and Robert are very friendly people, and always have advice on where to go if you get stuck for ideas.
It's such a tranquil place, you can sit in the sunshine and listen to the local wildlife, switch off and relax π

A true gem π of 1st class accommodation, location with far reaching countryside views, excellent hospitality from the owners π and a genuine haven of real peace and quiet (apart from the odd tractor π in the field.. which personally I quite like the sound of anyway π)... with the bonus of a night sky β¨ full of stars that you are never able to see at home π‘
If you want to get away from it all for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet just book into The Studio and unwind in comfort. π

Due to the incompetence of the management we are not able to review the facilities, however we can rate the booking experience which have to declare as totally shocking and very upsetting for the family. Having booked a 5 night stay over the phone, we received via email the booking confirmation and payment link, which unfortunately wasn't working. We emailed Pengelly who apologised and emailed an alternative payment method, which we used and paid the full deposit. However, it appears the reason the original link didn't work was because our booking had been cancelled by one of the owners without consultation to his wife, as he had accepted an alternative booking by others in the slot we had secured. He said he had rung and left a message on our phone cancelling the booking, but no message was received.
Subsequently the owner rang to declare that he would have to refund our deposit as he had cancelled our booking as he had made an alternative booking. In disbelief we questioned as to why he had cancelled our booking just days before we were due to arrive, and after 10 minutes of nothing but lame excuses he apologised and put the phone down.
My wife and two young children were left inconsolable in the wake of the ridiculous situation we were now facing, that being trying to secure alternative accommodation mid season in Cornwall.
We have yet to have a full and proper explanation as to why that decision was made, and needless to say this is not an experience we would wish on anyone, so in terms of the Little Pengelly B&B management we would rate as just incompetent and beware.

Warm welcome on arrival. Tasty breakfast. Really felt that nothing was too much trouble. Great natural surroundings. Staff took a real interest in their guests. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved staying at the New barn last week. The barn itself was gorgeous and had lovely things in it to make our stay comfortable. It was a great location for exploring this part of Cornwall and itβs lovely beaches/harbours. Super friendly hosts too- highly recommend

Outstanding B&B! Rooms were very well catered for and plenty of room. Internet speed was about 60mbps which you certainly canβt complain about! Only some issues with 4G but remember this is Cornwall!
The rooms very perfectly clean and lovely beds. The breakfast was amazing with homemade honey and marmalade on tap. The full breakfast was not your average b&b quality, they source local ingredients and the bacon and sausage is lovely! My room looked out on a field with horses and every night was like a fairytale! Beautiful location and there is a lot to explore in the garden.
Maxine and Robert were so fantastic and gave us some great advice on things to do and where to go. Amazing level of service provided and I would happily return!

Immaculate. Lovely decor. The bath was divine as was the room. Fluffy dressing giwns and good quality towels provided. Very efficient and friendly service, maxine was lovely and gave fantastic suggestions of places to go. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and I would have given 5 stars had there been hash brown and beans, a must in my opinion. Homemade jam at breakfast was so good I ended up buying the last jar. Would definitely recommend

We have just come home after a fantastic holiday. The Cottage at Pengelly Farm is lovely, clean and has everything you need for your stay. Our son is 7 and enjoyed playing in the field at the back of our barn each evening. Leedstown is also in a great central location, near to Hayle, Porthleven and St Ives. Maxine and Robert are also really helpful and welcoming π

Cosey, Comfy and so much more!
Β· Superb hosts in Maxine & Robert. Welcoming, friendly and great sense of humours.
The accommodation was superb. Very clean indeed, room was warm and Cosey with tea and coffee making facilities, a comfy double bed with Duck down duvets and pillows. Lovely big shower cubicle too in the ensuite.
The cooked breakfast was very tasty with locally sourced produce. My wife who is Gluten Free was catered for.
The location of the B&B was great in terms of places to visit being very near by including Penzance, St Ives and Porthlevan.
Honestly, my wife and I had a great two nights stay at Little Pengelly.
