Had the most lovely stay here with my husband and our dog. Had to reschedule due to his graduation and dropped anchor was very accommodating and kind. Beautiful location, lovely pitches with fire pit and picnic table. Excellent facilities. Highly recommend!

Lovely little campsite. Super easy self check in. Extremely well priced. Beautiful views over the sea. Spacious pitches (no electric hook up available) each with their own fire pit and picnic bench. Clean, tidy facilities!

I recently stayed at Dropped Anchor Sea View Camping Site in Cornwall, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is simply stunning, with panoramic views of the sea that you can enjoy right from your tent. The campsite itself is impeccably maintained, with clean facilities and well-spaced pitches that offer both privacy and a sense of serenity.
A special mention has to go to Debbie, the owner and manager, who truly made our stay exceptional. She is warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, ensuring that all guests have everything they need for a perfect stay. Her passion for the campsite is evident in every detail, from the well-kept grounds to the personalized service she provides.
The nearby coastal walks were another highlight, making it easy to explore Cornwall’s breathtaking scenery. Whether you're a seasoned camper or trying it out for the first time, Dropped Anchor is the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cornish coast. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with outstanding service!"

The facilities at dropped anchor are incredible, the shower bathroom's are without a doubt the most homely i have seen in 15+ years of camping.
Child friendly, Eco-friendly, Host-friendly. We had a wonderful time. The fact every pitch came with a bench and firepit was an added bonus. And a very short distance to the nearest bus route to get into Penzance or Porthleven, even for non drivers the access is very good
We have only one request:
• Under your 'visit us' tab, please add some directions for getting to the campsite from the SW Coast path.
Highly recommended, and only wish we're lucky enough to stay a second night next time!

We’ve stayed here twice, each time for 2 weeks.
(It was so good the first time we had to come back!). It is a little piece of heaven. The site owner Debbie works hard to kept everything managed as you’d like- very clean. Great facilities and just the off-the-grid peaceful escape that we love. The middle of the field is reserved for a wild flower garden and room for kids to fly kites and play. Each pitch is very spacious . The view is incredible, I like to zoom in on passing boats. Ask Debbie to point out St Michael’s Mount to you- this can be seen and photographed if it’s clear enough at certain times of the time of day- see my photo..
Debbie is a good resource for where to go if you need ideas. Thanks again <3

Dropped Anchor is a truly beautiful campsite. Lovely pitches, brilliant facilities and the little touches Debbie has added makes it feel like home away from home. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be recommending it to fellow campers!

We have just spent a week at this campsite, one of the best that we have visited in Cornwall. It's a peaceful, clean site that affords sea views, close to the coastal path and popular towns and beaches.
Pitch sizes are generous, each with it's own table bench and fire pit. Toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and very homely. There are good recycling facilities and a little shop that Debbie the very cheerful and friendly owner, opens from time to time. Our dog was made to feel very welcome too. A very chilled week and we would definitely recommend this site!

An eloquent little campsite with lovely facilities. Upon arriving we were greeted at the gate. Debbie was really lovely and took the time to talk to us as well as the other campers.
Every pitch gets a table and a fire pit which is great for the price. It is not cramped at all so you can keep to yourselves.
The facilities are top notch. The place just has a real sense of community that is lost on most sites nowadays, it really is a hidden gem in Cornwall and somewhere that I think we are definitely going to return to.
The location is perfect too! The Rinsey pass is a must see for Cornwall! You can easily walk to it from the campsite. St Michael's Mount and Lizard Point are definitely worth the effort to go visit too!
Thank you Debbie for such a wonderful first half of our holiday ❤️⛺

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend and was sad to leave today! Debbie’s place at the dropped anchor is a wonderful place and it feel like home! Everyone who stays is equally as friendly. The shower and toilets are lovely and clean the best I have used at a campsite. each plot comes with a fire bit and Punic bench solely for your use which is a great touch. This place is dog friendly also which only adds to the homely feel. I can’t wait to come back ❤️

Stayed 2 days at the campsite. It's lovely and relaxed. The facilities are great and really clean. Debbie is so bubbly and lovely, and you can tell she puts a lot of care into her site and guests.
Pitches are flat and well spaced.
We will definitely be stopping again when we come to Cornwall.
Thank you Debbie!
