Just back from a wonderful stay at Poldown Caravan Park, what a beautiful site. We had such a warm welcome from James and all the touches made us feel settled so quickly. The site is close to Helston and the welcome pack contained lots of useful local information. Porthleven is very close and is our favourite place to visit in Cornwall, on the recommendation we booked a table for Sunday lunch at Kota Kai. We were not disappointed, the best Sunday lunch ever. The slow cooked beef was so tender! Also we visited Geer Farm to pick up some pasties and would thoroughly recommend. An absolute gem in the Cornish countryside, would thoroughly recommend Food & drinks: Porthleven - Kota Kai and the harbour pub to the left was a great venue for a Hot drink when the cafes were packed. We have just had a wonderful week at Poldown. Such a peaceful and well maintained spot which is just a short drive from Porthleven, Helston and other local amenities. Our caravan was lovely and Emma & James were fantastic hosts! Max the dog had a lovely holiday too! Highly recommend and we will be back!

We've just spent 7 nights at poldown. We had an amazing stay. And hopefully be back next year. We had a problem with the boiler not working these things happen. so we we're kindly moved to another caravan. Lots of wildlife around. heard owls near by and saw a woodpecker. The site was so peaceful. Thank you James & Emma for making our stay a great one

Just spent a week here and on the way home writing this. What an incredibly lovely site. Small and homely no hustle and bustle just what we wanted. The kids lived playing out on the front of the van on the swings or playing football with the other children. Perfectly located for our fav beach praa sands which has everything you need for a day at the beach. We didn't get to meet the owners but there was little need as the van was perfect and the site beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay in our fav place Cornwall. Will deffo be recommended to family and friends. Don't change its just beautiful Nearby activities: Local beaches, town centre and pubs Safety: Felt safe letting the kids out and about on site.

What a stunning location at Poldown! Peaceful, beautifully located with lots of trees and flowers everywhere. I especially loved the star gazing at night because of how rural it is. Stunning 💫 Almost every night, I could hear the local owl. Such a quiet and relaxing site. The owners were so so friendly and made sure that I had everything I need in the lovely caravan. Very kind people! The caravan it's self was perfect. Clean, tidy and had every utensil you could need in the kitchen! The shower was nice and powerful too. Impressive. Would stay here again above anywhere else!! My favourite spot. Thank you Emma and James ☺️

Find a gem of a site, situated around 1/2 mile from the main road. the site is very tidy and well kept with lots of open spaces, The caravan had everything you need for a relaxing break. and everything in the van was clean and tidy. J Outside you get a parking space and a picnic table and a large free area in front of the van. Overall the site is beautiful, peaceful and very quiet, and the sound of the nature at night. 10/10 will be back again

Just got back from a few days down and Cornwall and I felt compelled to leave a review for this place. From start to finish we were looked after magnificently, nothing was too much trouble for Steve and Louise the owners, we really appreciated Steve’s advice on the best walks and best places to visit. Firstly, the park is perfectly situated in a quiet rural area, very peaceful and tranquil, surrounded by beautiful mature trees but only a short drive from Portleven, St Ives etc. The grounds are immaculately maintained and the caravans themselves are in beautiful order and very well stocked. The beds are super comfy and I can’t remember the last time I slept so soundly. In summary, this place is an absolute Gem and We have already booked for May. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Beautiful site. We have just returned from a week holiday staying at Poldown. What a lovely little beautiful site. Clean caravan with all that was required. I seen a previous comment about a kettle and toaster, they are not needed. You have the stove kettle which may take slightly longer than a normal kettle but it's the sense of adventure having the whistling kettle. Plus toast cooked better under the grill. Great location for the South and West of Cornwall ie St Michael's Mount, st ives, falmouth etc. Would definitely go back

Lovely peaceful site. Clean caravan, although great for up to four people but not well enough equipped for a party of six (only seats four for dining, small pots for cooking and useless cooking utensils). Really lovely,friendly owners. Would recommend a holiday here.

A lovely five nights at Poldown in our touring caravan. Lou was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Super clean and tidy small site with generous pitches. Surrounded by trees and lovely birdsong. Just a few minutes off the main A394 on an easy access lane. Good base for walks, gardens and beaches. Will be going back!
